The Ebbwatch price bot

If you saw this User-Agent in your logs, it's us:

Ebbwatch-pricebot/0.1 (price tracker; contact: bot@ebbwatch.com)

What it does

Reads public product listings or feeds to record prices, a few times a day.
Waits at least 5 seconds between requests to the same site, and obeys robots.txt.
Never logs in, adds to a cart, or tries to get past a bot challenge or CAPTCHA. If a site challenges it, it stops, and we ask.
Keeps only product name, link, price and list price. No descriptions, images or reviews.
Runs from one server: 135.148.166.124.

Want a different rate, a feed instead, or to be left out? Write to bot@ebbwatch.com and we'll do what you ask.
